The Concours Committee invites you to submit an application to exhibit your classic automobile or motorcycle at the 12th Annual Salisbury Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, September 11th, 2011. The Concours is one of the nation’s premier events for celebrating the art and design of fine historic automobiles and motorcycles.

An application may be filled out on-line at http://www.salisburyconcours.com/about/application/. Optionally, you may download an application to be mailed in.

The Concours presents several classes of collectible vehicles. A major focus of the event is the annual showing of The Salisbury Class - Classic & Prestige automobiles of luxury and elegance designed during the same era (1923-1953) as the residency of the Carl and Edith Weeks family at the Salisbury House. The Antiques (vintage automobiles before 1923), and The Collectibles (automobiles of distinction from 1923-1960) are also presented annually.

Special Feature classes for the 2011 Concours include:

  • The 100th Anniversary of Chevrolet – honoring Louis Chevrolet and William Durant
  • The 125th Anniversary of Mercedes – celebrating one of Europe’s finest marques
  • The Exotics – beautiful, powerful and expensive contemporary automobiles
  • The Vintage Motorcycles - motorized descendents of the bicycle, from inception thru the ‘70s
  • The Woodies - the fine craftsmanship and unique design of hardwood bodies

Please visit http://www.salisburyconcours.com/about/ for more information on classes and events, and www.salisburyhouse.org for more information on the elegant and historic Salisbury House mansion and grounds.

The Concours is held in the beautiful gardens and grounds of the Salisbury House in Des Moines, IA. There is no charge for presenting your collectible and attending the Saturday Exhibitors’ Banquet and Sunday Awards Buffet. There are optional modest costs for attending related events, such as the Gatsby Gala on Friday and the Annual Concours Driving Tour on Saturday.

We hope you will be a part of the 12th anniversary weekend, either as an exhibitor or a spectator -- you will enjoy a wonderful weekend while helping to raise funds to benefit the missions of youth education and the restoration of the Salisbury House.
